This summary is designed to list, summarize, and link to many U.N. Security Council Resolutions concerning the war in Iraq. The emphasis is on resolutions that establish or extend military operational authorities. The Security Council has addressed many other issues concerning Iraq which are beyond the scope of this summary (the most important issue being oil revenue). Likewise, certain authorities which have expired (such as those concerning Coalition Provisional Authority, or the Iraqi Interim Government) are also not addressed here.
